A downloadable tool for Windows

NOTE: This is an UNOFFICIAL tool. Things WILL break!

Party Project Workshop is a modding engine for Party Project. It currently supports custom board mods, which can be patched into the game! It also adds a few optional toggles as well, such as a high-resolution mode for crisper graphics!

Party Project Workshop features a robust board editor, which can be used to make your very own game boards! It aims to support nearly every vanilla feature of boards, such as event spaces, gimmicks, and a few other extras you might've not known the game can do!

  • v98.4-250124 (hotfix)
  • "Does this support X version?"
    • Supported versions are listed ABOVE the Q&A section. Support for new versions are added sparingly (when the developer feels like it / can). Typically, I'll try to get it done as soon as possible, but life and other things can get in the way sometimes.
  • "Does this run on Linux/Mac"
    • This cannot run natively on Linux, as there is an issue with the GUI framework on that platform. It might run on Wine, I do not know, nor have I tested it yet.
    • Mac is unsupported.
  • "Some features/spaces are missing!"
    • Not all available features will be available at launch, as they still need work to become stable enough for general use.
      • Features like day and night cycles, twhomps, and other gimmicks are currently being worked on.
  • "How does this work?"
    • Essentially,  the entirety of Party Project's data is stored in a large JSON file, inside the package.nw file (essentially a zip-like container with all the game's assets). The program parses the .nw file and creates data in the file that can be read by the game.
    • Version support is done through hand-written ".schema" files, which dictate what custom assets should go where. Since each update for Party Project shifts the indexes in the data.js file, it is necessary for me to remap these correctly for each version in order to add support for a new version.
  • "Something broke!"
    • If something breaks during the board creation or injection process, this is typically an issue caused by me. Please file a bug report in the community page.
    • If something breaks during the actual gameplay, I ask that you please DO NOT file a bug report in the official Party Project Discord.  You can either submit a bug report here, as it is most likely an issue with the editor.

In the rare case that it is an issue with Party Project itself, and can be reproduced in the ORIGINAL, UNMODIFIED GAME, then it can be forwarded to the official Discord.
  • "Where can I share my custom boards?"

  • McKrak - Creator, assets/graphics that are not made by Char.
  • DudeGamer64 - Playtesting.
  • Char - Creator of the original game (Party Project), additional support.
  • Typh - Playtesting.
